Besides the National Supercomputing Service, CSCS operates dedicated systems for individual customer institutions and provides tailored services for these systems. The centre has contractual links with a number of institutions for these services, as for example the Swiss Federal Office for Meteorology and Climatology MeteoSwiss and the Swiss Institute for Particle Physics CHIPP. The new unit HPC Co-Location Services will further expand this activity, a technology transfer mechanism which allows Swiss research institutions to leverage the know-how and expertise of CSCS.
