Linking Scientific Computing in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean - LinkSCEEM

The LinkSCEEM project aims to assist the Cyprus Institute in setting up an HPC centre for the Easter Mediterranean region. A consortium of European and US leaders in the field of HPC and computational science and prominent research institutions from the Eastern Mediterranean advise the Cyprus Institute in the early planning and development phases of the project as well as ensuring that the Cyprus Institute builds strong scientific and technical links to Europe and the Middle East. Within the project the consortium will conduct studies and outreach activities aimed at building  a user community for this centre.
LinkSCEEM is funded by the European Commission (DG-INFSO) through the FP7-Capacities program.

CSCS involvement in LinkSCEEM

In this context, CSCS is responsible for organizing an international conference, which will bring together the people from the Cyprus Institute, potential users from the region as well as international HPC experts from academia and industry.
