Since 1991, CSCS provides compute and storage facilities for researchers in HPC-based sciences. Scientists at all academic institutions located in Switzerland can apply for our computational resources in different allocation schemes. CSCS regularly publishes calls for proposals for this purpose.  

Our centre is focussed on capability computing problems, which since the beginning of the millennium equates to massively-parallel computing (MPP) in order to do large experiments for tightly-coupled problems. CSCS is specialised on deploying early technologies, stabilising them quickly for providing a rock-solid service.
