WELCOME TO THE CSCS USER SUPPORT HOME
The user documentation pages are intended to provide all of the information needed to get started with the production systems at CSCS. Information is provided on machine configurations, how to access the systems, how to compile, debug and monitor performance as well as the application software provided on these machines.
Maintenance
CSCS carries out monthly maintenance on its production facilities. An e-mail informing members of the user community on the work to be carried out and the machines to be affected is sent out in the week preceding the maintenance.
CSCS next preventive maintenance is scheduled for:

Help and Information
You can submit a support query to CSCS by sending an email to help@cscs.ch. If your query is well formed (ie. provides us with as much information as possible) we'll be able to examine the problem immediately and hence respond to you as quickly as possible. Please include the following information in your help request:
- userid
- machine name
If your question relates to specific batch job(s), please let us know the PBS jobid(s) and provide the following files as email attachments:
- job script
- standard output and standard error
- output files if they contain information that might be useful
As an alternative to email attachments, you could provide the full paths to these files (in which case please make sure that the files are world readable!).
