Scalable Performance Analysis Tools for HPC Applications - 9-10 August 2012
The HP2C platform announces a 2-day intensive course focused on the use of performance analysis tools to analyze application executions on massively parallel processing (MPP) systems. Two tools will be treated in detail: the Scalasca toolset (www.scalasca.org), presented by Dr. Brian Wylie and Dr. Markus Geimer of Jülich Supercomputing Center, and the VAMPIR analysis framework (http://www.vampir.eu), presented by Dr. Andreas Knuepfer from the Technical University of Dresden. Other toolsets, such as TAU, will be discussed to a lesser degree.
Participants are strongly encouraged to bring along their own applications to profile during the hands-on sessions.
The course syllabus will be made available in late July.
