CSCS User Day - 20-21 September 2012
CSCS is pleased to invite you to the CSCS User Day 2012 which will take place on Thursday and Friday September 20th and 21st at the new Supercomputer Centre in Lugano-Cornaredo.
From now on the user day is going to be a 2-day event. There will be invited scientific lectures, presentations from CSCS staff, and thanks to last year success we will again place a strong focus on poster presentations.
Every group with a current CSCS production project is strongly encouraged to present a poster on their work. The poster session will start with an advertisement session, where each presenter is given a 2-minute slot to introduce his/her poster to the entire User Day audience on one single (!) slide. The poster must be in A0 format (1189 x 841 mm).
Bear in mind that the audience includes computational scientists from diverse disciplines. It would be of particular interest to most of them to see technical data discussed such as code performance, scalability, compute and storage requirements, compute facilities being used, both nationally and internationally.
We are also going to organize a vote on the best poster which will of course be awarded a prize.
