Escape response of small fish tested using a supercomputer

Using a supercomputer ETH researchers were able to test for the first time the hypothesis that small fish bend themselves into a ‘C’ shape before they flee from predators.
May 2, 2012 - Observations suggest that the 'C' shape helps them to abruptly put the greatest distance possible between themselves and their predators.
