Last update on May 9, 2012 at 7.15
General information:
Today monthly scheduled maintenance
Ela: no maintenance scheduled
Monte Rosa: 08:00 - 18:00
Tödi: 08:00 - 13:00
Matterhorn: 08:00 - 13:00
Please note that the Cray systems will be down mainly because of testing of the cooling system. Only "Monte Rosa" is expected to have an additional HW and SW intervention.
Castor/Pollux: 08:00 - 10:00 SW upgrade
Rothorn: no maintenance
Eiger: no maintenance
Piz Julier: 08:00 - 18:00 SW upgrade
/home , /apps, /project: no maintenance
Network: no maintenance
*****
/scratch/rosa: you might experience a slight loss of /scratch performance. Please keep in mind that the current scratch is just a temporary solution until the new hardware arrives and the new scratch will be made available
*****
Login on ELA(1-3) should always be possible, apart from possible short interruptions. Likewise GPFS is going to be rebuilt on hardware already moved before it is shutdown at the old location. So /apps, /home, /project, and /store should be available most of the time.
MONTE ROSA: back in service
TöDI: back in service
MATTERHORN: back in service
ROTHORN: back in service
PIZ JULIER: back in service
EIGER: back in service
CASTOR/POLLUX: back in service
RIGI: definitively switched off
Be aware that /scratch of all systems (i.e. rosa, todi, julier, eiger, rothorn, castor) will be wiped out. Save important data before the move.
All queueing/pending jobs will be deleted. You have to resubmit your jobs once the systems come back in service.
