I Call for Proposals 2013 - Allocation period starting on April 1, 2013

Total amount of resources available for production projects in this call: 552 Mio Allocation Units (AUs)

Production systems available:

Cray XE6, Monte Rosa:     137 Mio AUs

Cray XK7, Tödi:                 65 Mio AUs

Cray CX30, Piz Daint:       350 Mio AUs

You may indicate your preferred production system (Monte Rosa, Tödi, Piz Daint) in the submission form. If your proposal is accepted then we shall try to accomodate you on the system of your choice if possible.

Project Proposal Submission

If you wish to submit a production and/or a large development project you need to have (in pdf format):

  1. your project proposal including all the mandatory items listed under Production Projects and Development Projects
  2. your curriculum vitae
  3. your list of publications

Who can apply?

Proposers must hold at least the position of post-doc within their institution.

PhD students CANNOT apply on their own, but instead must do so in consultation with, and under the auspices of their supervisor. In such cases the supervisor should be identified as the Principal Investigator (PI) for the project.

 

Obligations of the User

Once you have a project at CSCS, please be aware that:

Participation at the User Day in Fall is expected. At the User Day, users are expected to present their work in poster form, and they might be invited to give a presentation.

Users must quote and acknowledge the use of CSCS resources as follows: "This work was supported by a grant from the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) under project ID ###"
