Scientific Computing Research
In addition to the services offered in the National Supercomputing Service and in the HPC Co-Location Services, CSCS carries out advanced development and research in Scientific Computing. This organizational unit investigates future HPC systems, parallel programming paradigms, and data management techniques, and collaborates closely with domain scientists at universities and research institutes in individual projects on code re-factoring and algorithm development. The current focus is on the HP2C projects, an initiative for petascale computing in Switzerland.
