Processor Architecture
We are testing prototypes of systems with new processors and integrated solutions with different types of accelerators from several vendors. The systems are usually located either at CSCS, in some cases CSCS has remote access for a limited time.
Usually processor run through several steps during the development and the vendors take advantage of our results achieved on alpha or beta releases. The results are permanently discussed with the vendors and are kept internally at CSCS due to existing NDAs. The results are used for the preparation and evaluation of running procurements for HPC systems at CSCS.
The demo systems are also used for the algorithm development in the Future Systems Group.
