ReFrame is gradually gaining increased visibility in the HPC community, as it provides a rich set of features which allows its users to easily port their tests across systems and perform performance exploration experiments, as well as regression testing and benchmarking. It has been the tool of choice for several computing centers around the world both in academia and in industry, when it comes to system and software stack testing.
More specifically, in this webinar, we present the basic concepts of the tool through examples. We start with a very basic version of a test running a memory bandwidth benchmark, that we will gradually expand to make it portable and flexible enough to run out-of-the-box on any system.
This webinar is targeted to CSCS users that either develop their code or would like to test and validate multiple configurations of the code they use. It requires basic knowledge of Python and of HPC environment concepts.
