CSCS develops and provides key supercomputing capabilities for solving important problems in science and society. CSCS is offering internships in the field of High Performance Computing that will allow students to explore and develop innovative technologies and algorithms.
Topics
CSCS publish once a year (usually in October/ November) several topics of interests. Students can only apply for those topics by a specific deadline. Usually the deadling for applications is the first or second week of January.
Candidate requirements:
Candidate selection
All applications will be reviewed by a committee comprising HR and supervisors (defined by the topics). Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the supervisors.
Duration and salary
The duration of the internship should be 2–6 months. During this period the intern will be mentored by and collaborating with HPC experts in the centre. A salary of 2’500.00 CHF/month is granted.
Internship supervisor
The CSCS Internship Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the work of the student intern. The supervisor also provides a description of the learning goals of the internship and the intern's responsibilities to achieve these goals. The Supervisor will provide an evaluation of the student's internship performance. The student will provide a final report on the experience at CSCS and the supervision.
