The storage of data is playing an important role in scientific research; however, too often after publications, data might consciously or unconsciously be forgotten and sometimes even thrown away. It is important for scientists to be able to "use, reuse and recycle" their data as funding agencies and scientific journals ask for this, with the idea that this data could be reanalyzed or could become the basis for further science.

For such a purpose, the scientist needs a reliable, accessible, long term storage service and a way to find or cite a particular dataset independent from future infrastructural changes.

Now CSCS provides such Long Term Storage service and has also become a provider of Persistent Identifiers (PID).

This webinar aims at describing the new service from a user prospective, covering who can get access, what can be done and how.
